Their love story started from a serendipitous meet up - Akilah & Devin met in Thailand. Akilah won an Instagram vacation giveaway and Devin was on a trip with his friends. They had an instant connection from there. Although they lived in the DMV area, the couple chose Houston as a domestic destination for their wedding. Our team assisted them with planning and designing their dream wedding day, despite never having seen their venue in person. Their wedding decor was focused on a timeless black and white vibe featuring elevated elements such as a lush floral arch at their ceremony space, modern chic centerpieces for the guest tables, and a statement piece for their seating chart featuring a shelf of "Our Favorite People" and monogrammed place cards. Their personal monogram was everywhere -  handkerchiefs, menus, photo booth, signage, etc. The entire evening was a blast and culminated with a fresh churros provided as a late night snack and a New Orleans second line parade commemorating the groom's roots.
